Epic is a great tool. However, when something goes wrong between the PBM and the physicians office regarding a refill or prescription it is a nightmare because you cannot talk to a human being in real time. The message and call back assumes that you have nothing better to do but wait for the call from the physicians office which might be fine for retirees but not for people with a job.

Dr. Dixon listens and is able to give you an answer based on the conversation. He won't have you do anything that he knows is not in your best interest. He will explain the do's and don'ts. He explains for you to check with your insurance and pharmacist to see if certain drugs and/or vaccines is covered. His nurse is awesome.

Checking out was the only disappointment. Person for check out was making appointment that was taking a while instead of doing check out. There where two ladies working at the other check in and appointment windows and did not seem busy. I waited long enough to need to sit down. Instead I went ahead and left as she seemed to be getting more involved in what she was trying to do. Otherwise they where great at front counter also.

This office is very prompt answering any questions or concerns I have when using My Chart. I usually get a response in a few hours or less. When seeing Dr Dixon, I never feel rushed and he has always referred me to great specialists when needed. The office staff is very efficient and willing to help and very pleasant.

Dr. DIXON is one of the kindest, down to earth and relatable doctors a patient could hope for.

Only issue was with the time of the appt. I chose one time when appt was made through MyChart. Was later called and asked if I could move 15 mins later due to the type of appt. I agreed. But when I reported for appt was told that it was even 15 mins later than agreed upon time. These details and changes can be seen in appt details. I wasn't informed of the final appt time and was never contacted about requesting a second time change. Otherwise, a pleasant visit.

I appreciate fitting me in on a last minute request, as always, everyone is friendly and professional, Dr. Dixon is the best! Thank you.

The doctor took time to answer my questions and to explain my medications which is what I wanted.

I called day prior about getting a flu shot, asked if could make note they said just ask when come, course I forgot, so now I have go get one. Not sure about medication subscription . Tried to talk to nurse , said get back in 2 working days . Didn't help with isssue so I'm just not taking til I can speak to them. I made few things clear, still subscribe a prescription not wanting.

I would like the provider to take more time if I feel it is needed.

Everyone at this office has always treated me great! I never liked going to the Doctor because of the wait,! If your appointment is at 9:00 I always was waiting 20-30 minutes past my appointment time before I would be seen! But I have never had to wait at this office! And the staff is pleasant as well as Dr.Dixon being informative and caring!

Great doctor! I always enjoy visiting Dr. Dixon as he has a pleasant personality and is capable of explaining medical information in layman's terms. His staff is friendly and welcoming. Never the "white coat" syndrome with Dr. Dixon. He also quickly responds when contacted via MyChart as well as providing evaluations of any laboratory or hospital test results.

I am totally at ease with this group. Have been coming here for over 40 years. Have always received excellent care.

I even had a call from Dr Dixon's nurse this morning which was very appreciated.

This was a teleappointment and was not made with my own primary care physician since he was not in the office this day. I was very glad that another doctor could "see" me and give care for my covid situation! Dr. Dixon had never met me but he did provide good care. And a teleappointment is kind of different---he did a good job providing care when I felt awful.

The office fit me in for a last minute appointment when I was experiencing shortness of breath and tightness in my throat and chest. The doctor ordered bloodwork and an xray too. He was helpful, kind, and caring. I appreciate it. I do wish we had gone over the possibility I am experiencing GERD more. It may be what caused my issues as it did not turn out to be a heart or lung matter based on testing. But the doctor did give me some diet recommendations that could help with digestive issues. I appreciate that. He also viewed a recent scan and examined me for gall bladder and kidney stones which was good. I know doctors do have limited time. I felt Dr Dixon did do very well with the time constraints he works with. If I was to say for an improvement in communication --- have patients fill out a survey for each body area and what the concern is. This would be good for the yearly physical. Also ask the parient if they want to see a specialist or feel they nees more help in an area. Ask if they would like to improve their health in some way. For example my ears often don't feel well. Dr. Dixon has looked at them and doesn't see anything he is concerned about. It may be my TMJ. Or it may be my Eustacian tubes don't drain well. I had drainage problems as a kid. It could be good to see a specialist. In the rush of appointments this can get lost. Plus if a doctor says things look alright it isn't alwaya easy to speak up and feel contradictory. Some people communicate better in writing. This survey could be sent to the patient the week prior to the yearly physical. The office staff was nice and so was the LPN Jana. Compunet and the Outpatient xray also did well. I went through all 3 locations in about 2.5 hours. Timely quick services were very appreciated.

When arriving there were 3 clerks at the check in desk, two of which were on the phone. I waited while two continued to take calls, and the 3rd was with a woman who was checking in. I finally was acknowledged after waiting. This was at 10 AM.

The doctors in this office are really accommodating. They never rush me. I leave with a complete paper work and arranged to send me to the Meijer pharmacy across the street to get my prescriptions. Maybe you should have a pizza parlor on your ground floor.

Unpleasant receptionists

Physician and staff appear to be with high stress levels. You can see it on their faces and in their body language. Have noticed this in the past but not to level as this last visit. So who's responsibility is it to assure adequate staffing, the clinic or Premier? I'm in health care, so understand staffing challenges. This clinic is good but what I witnessed this last visit made me feel sad. Please get more staff, MAs and LPNs, for this clinic.

I have been a patient at South Dayton Family Physicians for over 15 years and during that time I have had nothing but great experiences with the entire staff and the facility. Dr. Dixon is my primary care provider and I could not ask for a better doctor. Dr. Dixon, as well as the rest of the staff, always make the patient feel at ease and comfortable while visiting for an appointment. There have been a few times over the years when I needed to see the doctor fairly quickly and, rather than having to go to urgent care, the staff at this facility were very accommodating in booking me an appointment with the next doctor available if Dr.Dixon was busy. Each time this happened I was very satisfied with the care provided by the other doctors here as well. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a primary care provider and I am very thankful for Dr. Dixon and the great staff working alongside of him.

The computer systems were down so my doctor didn't have my blood test results in front of him. I know that wasn't his fault but I don't feel he really listened to my concerns about some of the results. I have a lot of cancer in my family so I really like to keep tabs on my blood tests. I also told him I have been waking up at night with anxiousness and he just brushed it aside.
