How does balance become important as I age?

Balance exercise is your best defense against falls as you age, according to the Harvard Medical School.

Broken bones are common among older adults. They can limit your mobility, and in some cases, lead your health to spiral downward. 

Having broken bones when you get older can not only endanger your physical health, it also can cause older adults to have:

  • An increased fear of falling
  • Loss of independence
  • Lower confidence

The better your balance as you age, the better your odds of avoiding falls and serious injuries.
