Integrity and Ethics at Premier Health
Your trust in Premier Health is important to us. We work hard to earn it and we work even harder to keep it. Premier Health adheres to the highest standards of ethical and legal practices.
Backing up Our Commitment
In order to maintain our standards throughout Premier Health, we’ve created a corporate compliance plan, a conflict of interest policy and a code of conduct. These documents identify professional and ethical standards of conduct and compliance with federal, state and local laws.
Our plan and code promote good corporate citizenship among our members and partners. In addition, they help us identify high-risk areas within our organizations and prevent and detect possible misconduct. In many cases, the policies and procedures we’ve set exceed the standards required by law.
The plan and code are updated periodically to ensure that Premier Health is educating our employees about changes in laws and regulations, as well as implementing and enforcing the changes.
We understand that no set of standards or written rules can substitute for the personal integrity, thoughtful judgment and common sense needed to make good decisions daily. However, these documents provide employees with measurable standards, policies, guidance, and even a hotline to which they can report possible misconduct.
Consequences of Noncompliance
Failure to follow the compliance plan and code of conduct can bring serious consequences to employees and to Premier Health. Employees who do not follow the plan or code could lose their jobs and face criminal charges. Noncompliance for Premier Health means the organization could face criminal prosecution, substantial monetary fines and possible exclusion from Medicare and other federally funded programs. Perhaps the greatest consequence to Premier Health would be the loss of your trust and our reputation for integrity.
