Nursing Research

Premier Health nurses have a long history of nursing research. Unit based clinical inquiry  as well as academic undergraduate, graduate and doctoral research receive support from the organization and from New Knowledge, Innovation & Improvements Council (NKII) of System Shared Governance that drives research, evidence-based practice and performance improvement for Premier Health. Research conducted at Premier Health hospitals has been presented regionally, nationally and internationally, many winning first-place awards and have added knowledge to the profession of nursing.

Premier Health nursing inquiry continues to build on this long history. Ongoing participation in multiple national best practice groups including the National Database for Nursing Quality Indicators-RN Satisfaction - (NDNQI-RN) as well as the Vermont Oxford NetworkOff Site Icon and collaboration with professional associations keeps Premier Health nursing practice on target and current. Collaborative relationships with the Greater Dayton Area Nurse Researchers Group, Zeta Phi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing at Wright State University [link to and add third party site icon and alt language] and the Southern Ohio Northern Kentucky Research Collaborative keep Premier Health nurses close to the relentless expansion of the evidence base for professional nursing.
