Expenses

  • Application Fee $100 - non-refundable
  • Materials Fee $500 - non-refundable
  • Dayton Dietetic Association fee $10
  • Academy Student Membership fee $50
  • Ohio Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics meeting fee approx. $250
  • Housing per month $400 - $700
  • Utilities per month $100 - $200
  • Phone per month varies
  • Meals at work $0
  • Educational Supplies $200
  • Health Insurance varies
  • Car insurance varies
  • Parking Fees $10 - $50 total
  • Scrubs approx. $50 per set
  • Gasoline per year varies depending on living location and type of car
  • Expenses are estimates based on input from the previous intern class. Costs will vary
  • Interns make their own housing, health insurance, and car insurance arrangements
  • Financial aid is not available from MVH for dietetic interns. Loan deferments may be available for student loans depending on the lender. Assistance will be provided in the form of documentation of enrollment in the Dietetic Internship Program.

Transportation

Interns must provide their own transportation to off-site facilities. A valid Driver’s License is required. Mileage is not reimbursed.
