Jump Into Our Pool!

The Premier Health float pool was designed to provide our nursing professionals with career and workplace options that offer flexibility, system exposure, and pay rate advantages.  The float pool offers Registered Nurses the option to float in one of three tiers.

Tier I Float Nurse

Tier 1 nurses float system-wide across all Premier Health Emergency Departments:

Tier I nurses earn an additional $7.00 per hour above their base rate in addition to any applicable shift differentials.

Tier II Float Nurse

Tier II nurses float at one Premier Health hospital to all levels of acuity including intensive care units, step-down/advance care units, medical/surgical units, behavioral health units, and emergency departments. 

Tier II nurses earn an additional $7.00 per hour, above the base rate in addition to any applicable shift differentials.

Tier III Float Nurse

Tier III nurses float at all Premier Health hospitals to all levels of acuity including intensive care units, step-down/advance care units, medical/surgical units, behavioral health units, and emergency departments.

Tier III nurses earn an additional $11.00 per hour, above the base rate in addition to applicable shift differentials

All positions in the float pool require two years of recent advanced care experience within an in-patient acute care setting. The float pool also requires CPR upon hire, and ACLS and PALS must be obtained within one year.
