Occupational Therapy

Premier Health Occupational Therapy professionals help patients achieve independence by developing or improving skills in activities of daily living.  Occupational therapy services can be provided to inpatients or on an outpatient basis.  Occupational therapists and certified occupational therapist assistants work with you and your physician to provide rehabilitation and promotion of health and wellness activity.

Occupational therapy provides evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurological, and developmental conditions that affect an individual’s self-care, work and leisure.

Occupational therapy assists patients with the following conditions and diseases:

  • Stroke
  • Total joint replacement
  • Hand injuries and diseases
  • Neuromuscular disorder
  • Orthopedic conditions
  • Developmental conditions

Hand Therapy

The Hand Therapy program is a specialized therapy program designed to help patients return to their previous work and life roles, and/or to promote maximum independence within a given limitation.  Rehabilitative care for hand injuries, disease and impairments is provided by board certified hand therapists.  Using specialized skills in assessment and treatment, hand therapists work with patients to prevent injury and restore function.  Learn more.
