Natural Childbirth: Family Beginnings
While all five of our birthing centers offer natural child birth options, Miami Valley Hospital's Family Beginnings is Ohio’s only accredited dedicated natural birth center located inside a hospital. We believe childbirth is a natural journey for mom, baby and family, and we foster your feeling of self-responsibility for the birth of your baby. You’ll work with nurses who are dedicated to the natural childbirth process and are experienced in natural childbirth labor support. They assist, support and guide you using natural childbirth tools.
If complications should occur, you can be assured that any medical help you need is seconds away. You have immediate access to the full advanced-care resources of a Premier Health hospital.

Support for High-Risk Pregnancies
Sometimes complications can require you to be in the hospital during your pregnancy. The Miami Valley Hospital Perinatal Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Dayton’s only PICU, is here to support you. We provide specialized care for expectant moms with high-risk pregnancies before, during and after birth.
