Life Line Screening

Vascular screenings may minimize the impact of cardiovascular disease. If you are at risk of having heart disease and/or stroke, Premier Health encourages you to participate when Life Line Screening performs vascular screenings in your community and close to home.

Using non-invasive, ultrasound technology, Life Line Screening offers the following:

  • Carotid Artery Screening – Visualizes the build-up of plaque in the arteries that supply blood to the brain (most strokes are linked to carotid artery blockage)
  • Atrial Fibrillation (A-Fib) Assessment – A test to measure irregular heart beats; having A-Fib increases your risk of stroke 5 times and may lead to congestive heart failure
  • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Ultrasound - Looks for an enlargement or ballooning of the main artery in your body. The majority of people who have had a ruptured aneurysm had no prior symptoms.
  • Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) - Screens for Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) in the legs. PAD is closely linked to heart disease

This event costs $139 and requires an appointment. Please pre-register by calling (800) 779-6353.
